Spicy Sausage Pasta

A friend sent me [this recipe] from Emily Bites and I knew I had to try it.
I did make some alterations, some due to what I had on hand and some due to my forgetful brain.

I didn’t have turkey sausage, but I had just bought some Chicken Sausage that needed to be used soon. It’s the Bilinski All Natural Chicken Peppers and Onions Sausage.sausage

Also I always buy these little bags of sweet peppers and I had some of those that were starting to threaten to go bad so I wanted to cook them soon. So I added them.

Then I totally forgot the half and half (and didn’t have any anyway, I was going to use milk) so that got left out.

Anyway, I did think to take some photos while I was cooking.

So here’s my prep station:

This isn’t all the ingredients, I’d already started. So I had the onions and sausage in the pan cooking away already.


Then added the peppers


Then the noodles and broth


Once it’s pretty much done, you sprinkle on the cheese and broil until it’s melted.


If I were not trying to lose another 20 pounds I would have used way more cheese so that it would be nice and thick and bubbly. But alas…20 pounds. It was quite good, I’d make it again. With the half & half and more cheese.
